It can control your open loop a/fs, use wideband feedback, great data-logging and even better for N/A raise the redline and advance timing. Better yet if you transition into boost, the EMU is a very capable piggyback for boost.

Because the OEM instrument cluster, air conditioning and cruise control rely on the Toyota-proprietary MPX network - it is common to retain the original ecu - but add a piggyback ecu of your choice to control fuel/spark. Usually, the oem ecu continues to control throttle, VVTi and automatic trans if so equipped.
