Then, with the heater fully "on", run the engine until the thermostat opens, and add coolant as required through the open radiator cap until full. Pages 10-6 and 10-7 of the '05/'06 manual. Paraphrased, of course.

Just let the truck idle and warm up to 180 degrees or 200 with the radiator cap off. Basically when you take the coolant out air gets in the motor.
